I modeled this crane after a crane in one of Jeremiah's books. The trickiest part was the boom, which actually extends. At first it couldn't hold any weight, but after a little tinkering, it was able to hold up a match box car.
Jeremiah and I built this wagon together. Unfortunately, the other two pictures came out blurry. The handle swivels up and down and side to side, like a real wagon handle does. The window and window lock on the back were Jeremiah's idea. He enjoys transporting stuff.
Jeremiah asked me to make a taxi for him, which means a Volkswagon bug. Jeremiah has never been in a taxi. The only taxi experience he has is a toy VW taxi David gave him after a trip to New York. Jeremiah wanted the lego taxi to be blue.
While I built the Block Ferry, Jeremiah built this beluga, a large cargo airplane. I think it doubles as a stellar scooter. Jeremiah's ice-cream truck (below).
The whole family headed out to Rhode Island this summer to visit relatives. While we were there we went to Galilee and saw the Block Island ferry. Jeremiah was very impressed by the trucks and cars riding in the hold. When we got back, we just had to make a lego version.
I was inspired to build this while idly toying with a castle turret. It became the rotor. Because the blocks are pretty generic and in classic legos colors, it reminds me of legos kits from when I was a kid.
Hi everybody! Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Hopefully, I'll be able to post more frequently from here on out.
David built this plane. I think I got the name right. David, if you'd like to say anything about it, I can post it for you. Just let me know!
David says...
Yep, that is the SR-71 alright, or at least my rendition of the famous spyplane. The top-speed has never offically been released, but it can fly over three times the speed of sound and has never been downed over enemy territory. The real airplane flies so fast that the metal in the body expands by a few inches in flight due to atmospheric drag!
