Over-Head Hopper

This coal tower has a trap door on top so we can fill it full of coal. Then when a train needs more coal, it stops under the tower. We open the doors at the bottom and coal comes pouring out, filling the train's coal car. Jeremiah had lots of fun with this creation.

The future of mass transit

This definitely is not my favorite creation ever, but it was kind of fun to build, and I like how the light shines through all the blue windows. It's supposed to be a jet-engine-powered train.

Mavis

Jeremiah, our Thomas the Tank Engine fan, requested that I build Mavis. Her bold black and yellow stripes were fun to build.

I built this version of Thomas the Tank Engine for Jeremiah. He's a big fan of Brio.

Jeremiah's train engine

Jeremiah built this train engine all by himself. I'm pretty impressed! And check it out. The train station is still standing, at least in this photo. The station actually met a messy demise a few days ago. It definitely holds the record for having survived the longest out of all the lego creations at my house.

Passenger Car

So I really want to start blogging more often, hence two blogs in two days. I don't know if I'll keep this pace up or not, but I want to try!I like this passenger car, complete with passengers. It's a lot like the first one I built, except with real train wheels and runs on lego train tracks, and stuff. It has a different color pattern, too. The little train station in the corner has survived and amazingly long time for a lego creation at our house.Here's the inside. There's a spot for luggage, too.

Passenger Train

Jeremiah loves the Polar Express and trains in general. The train below was inspired by a coveted Christmas train kit on the cover of a holiday Lego's catalog. Jeremiah now has the real deal, compliments of Papa.
